Mark Cuban Warns That AI Will Soon Bring Real-Life Terminator

“Now, this may sound crazy for a lot of people, but the idea of autonomous weaponry in a mobile device run by a remote to power device is going to happen,” says Cuban. “I want it to be ours. And I want to be able to know that the government is in position to defend against autonomous weaponry. That has to be done by the government.”

Cuban has frequently spoke on artificial intelligence, believing that it will spearhead the future of all industry. “I am telling you, the world’s first trillionaires are going to come from somebody who masters AI and all its derivatives and applies it in ways we never thought of,” Cuban said at the SXSW Conference and Festivals earlier this year. We will “see more technological advances over the next ten years than we did over the last thirty. It’s just going to blow everything away.”

Cuban’s statements shed light upon the rapid developments that have been made in artificial intelligence recently. With applications ranging from autonomous vehicles, emotion-understanding programs, robot aerial acrobats, and personal assistants that will call and book your appointments, the capabilities of AI seem endless.
