Thomas S. Quealy, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer

Thomas Quealy

Tom is a member of Nottingham's Investment Policy Committee, where he contributes to the formulation of the firm's overall investment strategy. Additionally, he works closely with many clients to ensure proper portfolio strategy in order to fulfill their investment objectives. Tom joined Nottingham in 1989 and he plays a leading role in directing the firm's overall growth strategy. Tom brings more than 30 years of investment experience at Nottingham.

Tom holds a degree in Economics with a minor in International Business from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is currently on the Board of the Buffalo Renaissance Foundation.

Lawrence V. Whistler

Lawrence Whistler

Larry is the head of Nottingham's Investment Policy Committee (IPC), where he leads the firm's investment research and portfolio management team. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Larry was a partner with O'Bannon, Davis & Whistler, an independent registered investment advisor, and before that spent 10 years as a bond trader with Merrill Lynch in New York City and Los Angeles. Larry has 29 years of experience.

Larry holds a degree from the College of William & Mary and an MBA from Emory University and he received his CFA designation in 2003. Larry currently serves on the board of Catholic Health where he Chairs the Finance & Operations Committee. He is a past board member of Gateway-Longview, United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, Hauptman-Woodward Institute, Buffalo-Niagara Partnership, and the CFA Society of Buffalo, where he served two terms as President. Larry was formerly an adjunct professor at the Canisius College Wehle School of Business and was a member of the Leadership Buffalo Class of 2005.

Matthew J. Krajna

Matt Krajna

Matt is a member of Nottingham’s Investment Policy Committee. He joined the firm in 2012 and is responsible for conducting investment research and contributing to the firm’s overall investment strategy. Additionally, Matt is also actively involved in the firm’s trading process. Matt has 10 years of experience at Nottingham. He graduated with degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Accounting Information Systems and an MBA from Canisius College, Buffalo. Matt earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2015.

Matt serves as President of the CFA Society of Buffalo and as a Canisius College Golden Griffin Fund Professional Mentor. He previously served as an adjunct professor at Niagara University, where he taught Applied Investment Management. Matt currently works part-time as an adjunct professor at the State University at Buffalo in the Jacobs School of Management, focusing on equity valuation analysis.

Timothy D. Calkins
CO-CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, DIRECTOR OF FIXED INCOME, AND SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Timothy D. Calkins

Tim serves as a member of the Nottingham Investment Policy Committee. He brings over 19 years of investment experience to the team. Tim is responsible for corporate and municipal credit research & trading, as well as contributing to our economic outlook and interest rate expectations. He also leads our alternative investment research and custom allocations, with a focus on private credit and liquid alts. Tim’s membership and active participation with the Buffalo Angels group keeps him connected to the local start-up community.

Serving as a Golden Griffin Fund (GGF) mentor keeps Tim connected to Canisius College and its students. He currently serves as Membership Director for the CFA Society of Buffalo, and is a past board member of the CFA Society of Rochester, the John F. Wegman Fund, The Friends of The Rochester Public Library, The Greater Rochester Community of Churches (GRCC), and other WNY organizations.
