ETF Performance Report Q2 & June

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.6% over the past month. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite decreased 2.3% and the S&P 500 dipped 0.1%.

The best performing non-leveraged ETPs of June include the iPath Bloomberg Natural Gas Subindex Total Return ETN (NYSEArca: GAZ) up 37.5%, GLDX up 29.9% and United States Natural Gas Fund (NYSEArca: UNG) up 29.3%.

As we get ready for the summer season, natural gas prices heated up on warming weather forecasts. A hot summer in large cities across the Northeast and Midwest will drive up energy demand as Americans crank up air conditioners, which typically means more natural gas being burned to power the electricity plants.

The worst performing non-leveraged ETPs of the month include VXUP down 31.6%, iPath Global Carbon ETN (NYSEArca: GRN) down 26.0% and Global X Nigeria Index ETF (NYSArca: NGE) down 24.6%.
