AdvisorShares Launches New Multi-Strategy ETF

The investment process behind MULT allows Sunrise to move nimbly among various asset classes, global markets and sectors.

“At Sunrise Capital, we believe that the collective intrinsic intelligence of markets exists within accessible data,” said Chris Stanton, portfolio manager of MULT and chief investment officer of Sunrise Capital, in the statement. “Using our non-correlated investment blend, which aggregates a family of strategies across multiple markets in real-time – and given the depth of our 35-year quantitative investment experience – we are confident in our ability to grow investment capital and dynamically manage risk.”

Active ETFs, with about $16 billion in assets, currently make up less than 1% of the $1.86 trillion U.S. ETF industry. However, increased demand for the products and the potential for a more favorable regulatory environment could make actively managed ETFs a $500 billion asset class by 2020, according to a new report by SEI Investments.
