“December is usually a solid month for S&P 500, both on an average price change basis and frequency of advance. But nothing works all of the time,” the strategist added.
In 33% of the observations since 1929, the S&P 500 declined during the month.
The index’s worst December was in 1931, when it tumbled 14.5%.
