U.S. Adds 164,000 Jobs: 3 Signs the Economy is Strong

However, as of now the pace is still on par.

Despite inflation, market swings, and trade tariffs, monthly job growth has stabilized at 208,000.

A Healthy Job Market

Much of the economy’s durability is due to a healthy job market.

The increase in people earning paychecks has increased demand for housing, raised consumer confidence, and increased retail sales.

According to ABC News, “The home market, a critical component of the U.S. economy, has been a beneficiary of the steady job growth. The National Association of Realtors said that homes sold at a solid annual pace of 5.6 million in March, even though the number of houses for sale has plunged. As a result, average home prices are rising at more than twice the pace of wages.”

It’s hard to predict the coming months of employment, but for now, the number’s reflect a durable American economy.
