A Multi-Factor ETF Racing to New Highs

Value stocks have historically outperformed growth stocks, or companies with high earnings expectations, in almost every market over the long-haul. For instance, the MSCI USA Value Index has outperformed the MSCI USA Growth Index by an annualized 81 basis points since 1974 through September 2015.

DEUS holds 816 stocks, nearly 18% of which hail from the consumer discretionary sector. The industrial and technology sectors combine for about 32% of the ETF’s weight.

DEUS charges just 0.19% per year, or $19 on a $10,000 investment, making it inexpensive when measured against the average U.S. large-cap smart beta fund.

Other multi-factor offerings from Deutsche Asset Management include the Deutsche X-trackers FTSE Developed ex US Comprehensive Factor ETF (NYSEArca: DEEF), Deutsche X-trackers Russell 2000 Comprehensive Factor ETF (NYSEArca: DESC) and Deutsche X-trackers FTSE Emerging Comprehensive Factor ETF (NYSEArca: DEMG).
