While there are concerns surrounding small-cap upside over the near-term, some new small-cap ETFs have recently come to market.
Last week, Legg Mason launched the Legg Mason Small-Cap Quality Value ETF (NasdaqGM:SQLV).
The Small-Cap Quality Value ETF tries to reflect the performance of the Royce Small-Cap Equity Value Index, which is comprised of small-cap companies with lower than average valuation, higher than average profitability and higher than average debt coverage, according to a prospectus sheet.
In late June, Goldman Sachs launched the Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta U.S. Small Cap Equity ETF (NYSEArca:GSSC).
The ActiveBeta U.S. Small Cap Equity ETF tries to reflect the performance of the Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta Small Cap Equity Index, which screens for small capitalization U.S. issuers based on factors like value, momentum, quality and low volatility.
