Investors Should Never Say Never to Bonds Again

“Hollencrest Capital Management increased its holdings in shares of iShares iBoxx Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF (NYSEArca: LQD) by 2.0% in the third quarter, according to the company in its most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission,” noted Gemma Cottrell in a Fairfield Current article. “The firm owned 24,910 shares of the exchange traded fund’s stock after purchasing an additional 500 shares during the period.”

As the FANG stocks and tech were at the forefront of the historic bull run, it was easy to forget the less-exciting bond markets as investors were in risk-on mode, unless it was high-yield debt issues. Now, the latest stock market declines and the reclamation of the save-haven assets that fell to the wayside during the bull market remind investors that bonds are not to be forgotten.
