Exchange's Shaping Wealth Workshop Is Can't Miss

Brian Portnoy and Neil Bage, the founder and co-founder of Shaping Wealth, will be leading a workshop at the coming Exchange conference. Shaping Wealth is the global wealth industry’s premier learning and development platform. They seek to help advisors and their clients achieve “funded contentment” with a human first approach to financial guidance.

Shaping Wealth Has Exchange Credentials

Neither are strangers to the Exchange stage. Portnoy’s 2023 panel on storytelling for advisors was a highlight of the conference. “Story is the decoder ring of our reality. We were born to see patterns,” Portnoy said in the session, adding: “Good financial planning is good storytelling.” As wealth management moves from a more transactional service to a relationship service, understanding the mechanics of what makes a life’s journey fulfilling is critical for advisors.

Bage also tapped into helping advisors expand their toolkit in his keynote, which touched on behavioral finance, positive psychology, and emotional intelligence. He is an expert in practical, tech-enabled applications.

Shaping Wealth Founder Portnoy’s Background

Portnoy has two highly acclaimed books on behavioral finance, The Investor’s Paradox and The Geometry of Wealth. He is a highly sought after speaker who has coached thousands of investors on topics that revolve around money and happiness. His background involves over two decades of work in the hedge fund and mutual fund space. Portnoy holds a doctorate from the University of Chicago.

Neil Bage Is a Behavioral Science Expert

Prior to working with Shaping Wealth, Bage was the chief behavioral officer for a U.K.-based financial planning firm. He was also the host of the award-winning Bitsize Behaviour Podcast. Advisors looking to better understand the behaviors in their clients that drive their decisions will benefit greatly from Bage’s expertise.
