The final day of the Morningstar Investment Conference is currently underway, and Bill Winterberg from took viewers through a vlog of highlights from Tuesday.

First, Bill met with Sarah Newcomb, Morningstar’s Senior Behavior Strategist, who shared her thoughts after speaking with Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman about the ever-growing role of tech, specifically artificial intelligence, within the industry.

With regards to AI and the financial industry, Newcomb said, “I think he [Daniel Kahneman] is right in that if we approach financial advice from a human perspective, then we can’t be replaced quite as easily… we need to be smart about which problems are better approached by computers and which ones are better approached by humans.”
