An Effective, Inexpensive Broad Market ETF

SCHB’s underlying index “only includes the largest 2,500 publicly-traded stocks for which pricing information is readily available. As such, it excludes micro-caps. The index is rebalanced semiannually after the close of trading on the third Friday of the month in March and September. Stocks can also be added or deleted monthly as the Dow Jones U.S. Total Stock Market Index is updated,” according to Seeking Alpha.

The ETF’s portfolio turnover is just over 4%, according to issuer data. Technology and financial services stocks combine for over 38% of SCHB’s weight. SCHB’s holdings have a weighted average market capitalization of $43 billion.
