Over the longer five- and 10-year periods, the majority of actively managed mid- and small-cap funds underperformed their respective benchmarks, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices.

However, when the details are examined, there’s nothing small nor simple about this fund, at all. Although a core conservative fund of funds, it’s quite diversified, global, comprehensive and complex! The main point being that either for short term safety or in terms of long term performance, the fund is, without a doubt, A-OK,” according to the Seeking Alpha post.
