iShares Introduces Three New Global Low Vol ETFs

The iShares MSCI Japan Minimum Volatility ETF is the first county-specific low volatility ETF to list in the U.S. That ETF is home to 170 stocks, none of which accounts for more than 1.65% of the ETF’s weight.

“Volatility has generally increased over the past decade and investors are wondering how to adjust their portfolios to help minimize this risk, while still meeting their long-term goals. The traditional ‘safe havens’ of cash and government bonds have not provided much of an alternative, with returns at or near historical low,” said Patrick Dunne, head of iShares global markes and investments at BlackRock, said in the statement.
