Exchange traded fund research websites and social media are making it much easier figure out which ETFs are trending.
For example, the most-researched ETFs at Morningstar.com and XTF.com recently include funds tracking dividend stocks, REITs, master limited partnerships, low-volatility stocks, Japan and bank loans.

ETFs have allowed investors to buy entire market segments or sectors, with low fees and liquidity.
