Bond ETFs “could be a down-the-road potential,” Kevin Clifford, president of American Funds Distributors, said in the WSJ article. Specifically, the firm is considering an actively managed ETF that would provide some protection to a manager’s day-to-day picks.
ETFs are here to stay, indexing is here to stay, Clifford added. “It’s anything but business as usual around here.”
