Metals, along with other commodities, were also under pressure as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved a rule designed to curb speculation in commodities on Tuesday.
The CFTC ruling extends position limits to 28 contracts covering commodities, reports WSJ.com. The rule will limit firms from owning more than 25% of a commodity’s deliverable supply on near-term contracts.
