India’s economy is riding high these days. In the waning hours of the second quarter, it was reported that India’s benchmark index rose more than any other index in the world’s 20 largest markets. The Reserve Bank of India also took the bold step of overhauling its banking system, making banks establish a rate that approximates what it charges its top customers, and riskier borrowers will pay above this.
