Rising Rates and Impact on U.S. Markets

Brent Schutte of Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management, Gordon Charlop of Rosenblatt Securities, and CNBC’s Rick Santelli appeared on “Closing Bell” Tuesday to discuss their outlook on markets and the economy in an environment of rising rates.

“I think it’s a sign of a healthy market… to see that the market is staying where it’s staying and the rates are going up is an encouraging sign,” said Charlop.

When asked about stock growth in the markets over the past few quarters, Schutte stated that, “I just think going to be still rising stocks because of the economy moves higher, but the degree of rise is going to be less than it has in the past.”
