WisdomTree Unveils Portfolio Solutions to Bolster Advisor Relationships

Earlier this month, exchange traded funds giant WisdomTree, Inc. (NYSE: WT) unveiled its Portfolio Solutions program. This program aims to  better support RIAs and wealth management firms.

Its three-pronged approach aims to help advisory firms looking to customize client portfolios. Its design also aims to help those embracing model portfolios. In either scenario, WisdomTree’s Portfolio Solutions offering can assist advisors in realizing significant time efficiencies. This is pertinent, because time is money.

“Portfolio Solutions enables advisors to leverage WisdomTree’s model portfolio and research expertise to help advisors make informed choices on how they deliver and construct portfolios for their clients so they can spend more time scaling and growing their businesses,” according to a statement issued by WisdomTree.

Inside Portfolio Solutions

WisdomTree’s Portfolio Solutions platform has something for advisors of all stripes. For those that take a hands-on approach to portfolio construction and management, Portfolio Solutions can examine currently used model portfolios, stress-test those assets, and examine holdings and overlap.

For advisors considering embracing model portfolios — data confirms many advisors are making that move — WisdomTree, which is already steeped in model portfolio experience, offers multiple options via Portfolio Solutions.

“CIO-Managed Model Portfolios: Provides access to WisdomTree’s CIO-Managed Model Portfolios designed to satisfy a wide array of client investment goals. Advisors can implement these model portfolios themselves, via model market centers, or on third-party platforms,” added WisdomTree. “Shared CIO: Enables advisors to collaborate with WisdomTree’s dedicated Model Investment Team to build and manage model portfolios for the advisor’s clients, which includes the option to delegate trading, rebalancing, and tax optimization tasks.”

Advisors Can Better Allocate Time

Some advisors are on the fence about outsourcing portfolio construction and management. Yet there’s ample data indicating model portfolios don’t drive clients away. Fortifying the case for the Portfolio Solutions model portfolios offering is the point that, by outsourcing portfolio management, advisors can allocate that saved time to other client-facing pursuits and bolstering their practices’ holistic credentials.
