European Equities Could Pick Up Momentum Ahead

ETF Trends publisher Tom Lydon discussed the Xtrackers MSCI Eurozone Hedged Equity ETF (DBEZ) on this week’s “ETF of the Week” podcast with Chuck Jaffe on the MoneyLife Show.

Since their own financial crisis, Europe has enacted a number of structural reforms that may finally translate to improved earnings.

Market observers project earnings per share growth for European stocks to remain strong and build upon the success over the first two quarters of the year.

DBEZ has currency hedged exposure to Eurozone equities as the U.S. dollar is expected to strengthen against the EUR due to tighter monetary policy out of the Fed and stronger U.S. economy.

Country weights include Germany 30.6%, France 29.4%, Netherlands 10.8%, Spain 9.9%, Italy 8.2%, Belgium 3.9%, and Finland 3.2%.
