ETF Distributions For 2006 | ETF Trends

Exchange traded fund (ETF) related press release states WisdomTree declared distributions for some of their ETFs. There were no long-term gains because the ETFs were only launched this year. Not all the ETFs had short-term gains. The highest short-term gain was for WisdomTree DIEFA (DWM) fund at $0.01702.

iShares also has a few distributions this year. This is the first year any distributions have been handed out by them. MarketWire reports that there will be long and short-term gains paid on iShares Dow Jones U.S. Real Estate (IYR) and iShares Cohen and Steers Realty Majors (ICF).

This should be the largest year for mutual fund distributions on record. Thus far, ETFs have proven their tax efficiency with low turnover and a unique structure.
