Peirce was previously the director of the Financial Markets Working Group at George Mason University. She is a former staff member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Peirce has had editorials published in the New York Times, and is known for her criticism of the response to the 2008 financial crisis.

Pisani has started a new chapter to share the lessons he has learned.
