Natural Gas ETF Falls to 50-Day After Inventories Report | ETF Trends

Natural gas exchange traded funds often see big swings on Thursdays following the release of the latest report on weekly inventories.

This week, the move was to the downside as the sector ETFs fell after the Energy Information Adminstration said natural gas supplies rose.

U.S. Natural Gas Fund (NYSEArca: UNG), which holds derivatives, slipped about 2% in a test of its 50-day moving average.

The iPath Dow Jones-UBS Natural Gas ETN (NYSEArca: GAZ) was also down about 2%.
