Spiders (SPY) , QQQQs, Diamonds (DIA), Transports (IYT) Close In On Five-Year Highs | ETF Trends

Major stock market indexes and their corresponding ETFs either hit or approached five-year highs yesterday.

S&P 500 shares, called Spiders (SPY), rose 79 cents to $130.38.
Nasdaq-100 tracking shares, known by their QQQQ symbol, added 10
cents to $41.21. The Diamond Trust (DIA) advanced .67% to close at $113.06. The iShares Dow Jones Transportation Average (IYT) rose .44% to close at an all-time high.

AP points out Bristol-Myers jumped 11 percent  and that The Dow rose 81.96, or 0.73 percent, to 11,317.43, its highest level since May 21, 2001, when it reached 11,337.92.
