Last week was shortened due to the Fourth of July holiday, but thanks to declines for mainland Chinese stocks, Puerto Rico’s debt default and Greece’s increasingly precarious financial situation, the short week was long on excitement.
It was not an exciting week for ETF flows, which were negative while sporting a “risk off” pall as investors pulled money from emerging markets and high-yield bond funds.
On the positive side of the ledger, inflows to financial services ETFs were once again seen as investors continue to prepare for higher interest rates.
