VYM has an almost 12% to the energy sector, a group that has caused some dividend consternation this year as oil prices have slid. However, Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM), ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP), Kinder Morgan (NYSE: KMI) and Occidental Petroleum (NYSE: OXY) are among VYM’s energy holdings and each has boosted its dividend this year.
