However, there are signs some investors have had enough of silver’s bearish ways. Since the start of the fourth quarter, SLV and SIVR are down 7.7%, declines that have been enough to prompt investors to pull nearly $88 million from SLV though SIVR has added $3.3 million in new assets.
Interestingly, some investors have been aggressive with silver ETFs this quarter. For example, the ProShares Ultra Silver ETF (NYSEArca: AGQ), a double-leveraged bet on silver prices, has seen fourth-quarter inflows of $11.5 million.
