ETF Chart of the Day: Strategic Beta Power

PRF tracks the FTSE RAFI U.S. 1000 Index which is made up of “the largest U.S. equities, selected based on the following four fundamental measures of firm size: book value, cash flow, sales and dividends. The 1,000 equities with the highest fundamental strength are weighted by their fundamental scores.”

Since inception, PRF has posted impressive out-performance to the S&P 500 and Russell 1000 Value Index net of expense ratio, and year to date it is basically neck and neck with the index.

Top holdings of PRF are currently XOM (2.97%), CVX (2.16%), T (2.00%), GE (1.73%), and JPM (1.73%). Noticeably absent from the
top five holdings is of course AAPL, the largest market cap weighted stock in the U.S. listed universe (AAPL ranks #9 in this index).
