Copper Conundrum: Red Metal’s ETFs Keep Tumbling

The $30.5 million Global X Copper Miners ETF (NYSEArca: COPX) is lower by 2.2% Tuesday and by almost 5% over the past month. Like CU, COPX is heavily tilted toward foreign copper miners as Canada, Australia and the U.K. combine for over 69% of the fund’s weight. The U.S. accounts for just 5.2% of COPX’s country weight, according to issuer data.

COPX currently resides just 7.7% above its 52-week low while JJC is just 2.4% above that ominous point.
