When we break down the current portfolio, we see more than 86% of the assets lie within Leveraged Loans, with another 8.7% in high yield securities, and a bit less than 5% in cash and equivalents. BKLN also sports a 30-day SEC yield of 4.17% which has likely been a top driver in attracting assets to this fund since its 2011 inception.
It also does not hurt that BKLN is currently trading near all-time highs since inception, and although there have been some setbacks in terms of price performance in the past three years, the path has largely been up and steadily up more over time.
