Post-Twitter IPO: What to Expect From Internet ETFs

As the next chart, courtesy of Bespoke, highlights, the performances of some major Internet stocks in the days leading up to the Twitter IPO has been less than impressive.

Same goes for the ETFs mentioned in this piece.  Four of the five posted small gains from Oct. 31 through Nov. 6, but all were trading lower on Nov. 7, Twitter’s debut date, than where they were on Nov. 4 or Nov. 5.

In an interesting twist, shares of Twitter are down 3.1% Friday, but IPO and SOCL, the ETFs that will be the first to own the stock, are each trading higher.
