The iShares Silver Trust (NYSEArca: SLV) is up more than 20% the past month as silver outperforms gold by a wide margin in the precious metals complex.
The fund now holds about 10,556 metric tons of silver the most since April, according to Platts.
SLV has assets of $7.8 billion.
Overall, the amount of silver in ETFs listed around the globe now accounts for about 83% of 2012 silver mine production, according to the report.
