Advisors were particularly interested in yield-producing alternative assets, pointing to real estate as a top strategy, along with master limited partnerships.

Boosting the appeal of the ETF investment vehicle, fees have overtaken liquidity and transparency as the top reason advisors and institutions would consider alternatives.
