DeltaOne Launches ETF Database | ETF Trends

DeltaOne Solutions on Monday said it has launched 10-year historical index and ETF data covering constituent history and pricing for tens of thousands of indices and ETFs.

“The quants have spoken and we are very pleased to deliver seamless access to historical index and ETF data to DeltaOne subscribers,” said Bernie Thurston, global head of DeltaOne Solutions.

“The DeltaOne data is a standardized structure, and calculates methodology across all index and ETF families and asset classes, which can be easily integrated with any trading application,” the firm said in a press release. “With accessible and accurate historical data, investment banks, hedge funds and asset management firms now have the ability to make quicker, more informed decisions.”

Rob Flatley, chief executive of CoreOne Technologies, Delta One’s parent, told the Financial Times that there was a “big data problem” for anyone that needed to properly identify historic index constituents and their historical performance.

“It can be difficult for a delta one trader to accurately understand the construction of an index from three or five years ago as perhaps only a third of the historic constituents might still remain as current index members,” Flatley said in the report.
