Financial ETFs Rise With AIG, Bank of America | ETF Trends

Financial exchange traded funds gained ground Thursday along with closely watched sector stocks American International Group (NYSE: AIG) and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC).

Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (NYSEArca: XLF) was up 0.6% in afternoon dealings. AIG and Bank of America also traded higher.

AIG shares fell Wednesday after the bailed-out company priced an offering of nearly $9 billion of stock.

The financial ETF is currently in an effort to hold its 200-day average.
