Apple, Microsoft Tilt Nasdaq ETF Into the Red | ETF Trends

A popular exchange traded fund tracking Nasdaq stocks closed slightly negative Monday as 1% declines in top holdings Apple (NasdaqGS: AAPL) and Microsoft (NasdaqGS: MSFT) weighed on the ETF to start the week.

PowerShares QQQ (NasdaqGM: QQQ) has seen the weightings of its constituents shaken up by a recent rebalance of the Nasdaq-100 Index. For example, Apple’s representation of the ETF has been scaled back, while Microsoft gets a bigger stake of the benchmark.

Elsewhere in the Nasdaq-100, Intel (NasdaqGS: INTC) and Google (NasdaqGS: Google) also ended Monday’s session with losses of about 1%.
