New ETF Tools From Morningstar | ETF Trends

Morningstar.com has launched new analytical tools for exchange traded fund (ETF) investors.  The site’s ETF page has been expanded and enhanced. [3 Good reasons To Do Your ETF Homework.]

Some enhancements to the site include the ability to compare  ETF metrics, with those in the same sector, or tracking the same benchmark.  It also allows investors to compare ETF with a similar mutual fund.  Other upgrades include new portfolio data for bond ETFs, capital gains distribution tracking, and fee comparisons versus an ETF’s category average.

The new tools are a welcome addition for investors who are sometimes overwhelmed by the vast number of choices in ETFs. From commodities and currencies, to leveraged and short ETFs, investors are getting better tools for researching and selecting ETFs. [What About Leveraged And Inverse ETFs?]
