Grain, Corn ETFs Pop After Planting Report | ETF Trends

Corn, agriculture and grains were the top-performing sector exchange traded funds (ETFs) Thursday as traders pushed prices higher in the wake of the USDA’s annual planting report.

Teucrium Corn Fund (NYSEArca: CORN) added 7% at last check as corn opened limit up Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Worries over grain inventories played a part in Thursday’s commodity rally, TheStreet.com reported.

ELEMENTS MLCX Grains Index ETN (NYSEArca: GRU), iPath Dow Jones-UBS Grains Total Return Subindex ETN (NYSEArca: JJG) and PowerShares DB Agriculture Double Long ETN (NYSEArca: DAG) all rose more than 5%.
