Latin America is home to a number of hot economies, which is why Van Eck plans to bundle a few of them together in an Andean exchange traded fund (ETF).
The Market Vectors Andean Equity ETF will be based on the Market Vectors Andean Index, a modified capitalization-weighted index that focuses on publicly traded companies within the region.
The equity ETF focuses on small and mid-cap companies located in South American countries, including Colombia, Peru and Chile, reports Olivier Ludwig for Index Universe.
