The number of U.S. households facing foreclosure soared by 15% during the first half of the year as more people continue to lose their jobs. The news the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Real Estate Index (IYR) down 1.3% in morning trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained nearly 0.2%, the S&P 500 dropped 0.1% and the Nasdaq added 0.2% in morning trading.
