Leadership Is a Verb | ETF Trends

My good friend John Bishop is up for a cool award, and after all he’s done for me over the years, I’d love to give him an assist in winning it.

John and I are about the same age. He lives across the street from me, and I’ve known him for years. He worked at Boeing for 26 years before he finally retired. Now he’s getting ready to pack up and move to the other side of the country, since Sikorsky Helicopters snatched him out of retirement.

John has always been a leader. In his years at Boeing, he mentored numerous people. He writes a leadership blog called Leadership Is a Verb. I saw his leadership skills in action when we coached kids together at basketball camp one year – he was a great coach. So great, in fact, that I was relegated to the role of Team Mother, fetching drinks and towels instead of practicing my best Vince Lombardi impression. That’s fine – John was the best man for the job, anyway.

Now John’s blog is up for Best Leadership Blog on the Web, and he’s down by a few hundred votes.

It would mean a lot if you, the loyal ETF Trends readers, would pop on over to John’s blog, have a look around and if you like what you see, go vote for his blog in this contest.

Good luck, John!
