The American Stock Exchange began trading options on Vanguard Emerging Market ETF (VWO), last week. VWO opened with strike prices of 75-95, in one point increments, with position limits of 5,000,000 shares. The options trade on the March expiration cycle. The press release in PR Newswire reports the fund seeks to track a benchmark index performance that measures the investment return of stocks issued by companies located in emerging market countries. This index includes about 840 common stocks of companies located in emerging markets around the world.
