Platinum has had a ride lately with the speculation of a platinum exchange traded fund (ETF). Bloomberg report the metal fell today, the most in more than six years, as doubt grew that an ETF was not likely in the near future. The worry is that supply may not be enough to support a fund similar to the gold and silver ETFs. An ETF could create more volatility as the platinum market is very narrow.
