Recent success can be seen in the PowerShares FTSE RAFI U.S. 1000 (PRF) exchange traded fund, which tracks the top 1,000 U.S. based stocks according to fundamental criteria. The ETF was up 6% for the year through July 31st, compared to the S&P 500’s gain of 3%.
