Russell Investments is getting ready to enter the global arena. With the increase in demand for international investments, Russell will launch new global indexes. These indexes will compete with the Morgan Stanley Capital International indexes.
With little competition, there are currently a limited number of global indexes. Russell’s new indexes will offer more choices and will benefit exchange traded funds. With more indexes, we can expect to see more ETFs created.
Russell Global Equity Indexes will launch later this year with small, large and all-cap indexes and then later with sector, style and single country indexes.
