ETFs Are Now Leveraged and Inverse | ETF Trends

It took some time getting here, but on Wednesday, ProFunds launched the first leveraged and inverse exchange traded funds.  According to Ignites, the ETFs are trading efficiently as investors can move in and out of the funds.  Many are impressed that the shares are trading with narrow spreads.  It seems that there was indeed a demand for this type of ETF.  ProShares that were launched include:

Inverse Performing

  • Short QQQ (PSQ)
  • Short S&P 500 (SH)
  • Short Dow (DOG)
  • Short Midcap 400 (MYY)

Leveraged

  • Ultra QQQ (QLD)
  • Ultra S&P 500 (SSO)
  • Ultra Dow 30 (DDM)
  • Ultra Midcap 400 (MVV)
