As ETFs gain popularity and numbers, more seasoned mutual fund investors are considering exchange traded funds (ETFs). Regarding cost, liquidity and transparency (knowing exactly what’s in the fund), ETFs win hands down. If you like adding small amounts of money on a more frequent basis, it might pay to stick to no-load mutual funds as you do have to pay a commission.
