Barclays’ silver ETF (SLV) is barely out of the gate and investors are asking "What’s next?" There’s talk that Barclays has a copper ETF in registration using the same formula and structure of the silver and successful gold ETFs.
Over the past year the demand for copper has lifted the price more than 80%. With global commodity demands poised to increase in the coming years, these ETFs should continue to attract attention. What other ETFs might follow? How about aluminum, chrome, coal, cobalt, diamond, steel, tin, zinc….
