Proposed ETFs - Narrow Medical Focus | ETF Trends

This week’s edition of Investment News highlights new exchange traded funds narrowing in on companies involved in the fight against cancer.  It is also suspected that other health-care areas will soon have their own ETF as well.  The ETF provider is Ferghana-WellSpring LLC, a newly formed company.

A worry of mine, which was reflected in the article, is investors will act on emotion, and not know what they are doing as far as the financial aspect of it is concerned.  Also, as the provider is new, it might be wise to wait around and see what happens to make sure there are no surprises before investing in these ETFs.

As the ETF providers continue to introduce new funds, one cannot help but wonder if we are slicing the pieces of the ETF pie too thinly.
